Call for papers – 2027 conference the “Relational Luhmann”.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Luhmann’s birth, and to contribute to ongoing efforts to promote engagement with his theory in North America, the conference is devoted to a less discussed aspect of his work, namely his reflections on relationships.
Conceived and organized in collaboration with the Luhmann Conference scientific committee, The Relational Luhmann will feature contributions that revisit, reframe, and extend Luhmann’s conceptual tools and methodological approach for the study of relationships in contemporary societies.
The conference will take place in Montreal on May 26-28, 2027.
The deadline to submit an abstract is September 30th, 2026.
