Thinking Intimacies: Ideals, Practices and Representations
We are pleased to share the call for papers for an upcoming special issue of Cahiers de recherche sociologique, entitled Thinking Intimacies: Ideals, Practices and Representations, edited by our Chairholder Chiara Piazzesi (Department of Sociology, UQAM) and Martin Blais (Department of Sexology, UQAM).
This special issue follows from the international conference Thinking Intimacies: Ideals, Practices and Representations and seeks to bring together contributions that advance our understanding of contemporary transformations in intimate relationships, sexualities, and relational practices.
Individuals who participated in the conference are warmly encouraged to submit an article proposal based on their presentation. More broadly, researchers whose work addresses intimacy, sexualities, gender, media, and contemporary social transformations are also invited to contribute.

- Variations in intimate ideals and practices;
- Relational pluralities;
- Conceptions, expectations, and aspirations regarding intimacy;
- Theoretical and epistemological reflections on the study of intimacy/intimacies;
- Intimacy, technologies, and media.
